Implants
Dental implants
A replacement tooth that is fixed in place and behaves like the one you lost.
01 · Results
Single implant and crown · 4 months
Upper right first premolar, lost to a fracture.
02 · What it is
An implant is a small titanium post placed into the jaw, which then holds a crown. It does not rely on the teeth beside it, and it does not come out.
03 · What happens
- 01
Assessment and scan
A 3D scan shows the bone and where the implant can sit. About an hour.
- 02
Placement
The post is placed under local anaesthetic. Most people go back to work the next day.
- 03
Healing
Three to four months while the bone grows around the post. You leave with a temporary tooth.
- 04
The crown
The final tooth is made and fitted. One appointment.

The things people actually ask
Does it hurt?+
The placement is done under local anaesthetic. Most people describe the following days as an ache rather than pain.
How long does an implant last?+
With good hygiene, decades. The crown on top may need replacing sooner.
What if I don't have enough bone?+
A graft can build it up first. This is decided at the scan, not on the day.
